Young-pyo Koh to be shut down at least two innings early this season–“Back pain, see condition

KT ace Ko Young-pyo (32) left the mound after two innings due to back pain.

Ko Young-pyo started the game against KIA at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field on Tuesday and threw just 36 pitches in two innings before handing the ball over to Lee Chae-ho in the bottom of the third inning, trailing 0-3. After pitching two innings, Lee felt pain in his back and was replaced. He will be monitored for now.안전놀이터

Ko had pitched a seven-inning, four-hit, no-hit shutout against Kiwoom on April 24 to lead KT to victory. Since that game, KT has rebounded with four straight wins, but in his second appearance in as many days, he was removed from the mound early after giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits and one walk in just two innings against KIA. It was his shortest outing of the season.

With innings-eater Ko Young-pyo leaving the mound early due to sudden back pain, KT was forced to utilize its bullpen early. In the bottom of the third inning, Lee Chae-ho gave up a solo home run to Choi Hyung-woo to fall behind 0-4, and in the top of the fourth inning, left-hander Lee Jong-ju came on.
