Baltimore announced on the 19th (Korean time) that it had acquired Glen Dining through a cash trade with Kansas City. Glendining is batting .242 (22 hits in 91 at-bats), 2 homers, 16 RBIs, .735 OPS in 26 games in Double-A this season.

Glen Dining participated as the Australian national team at the WBC held in March and played a big role in the match against Korea. He started second base three times and went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBIs, one run and one walk.

At the beginning of the 7th inning, when Australia was losing 2-4, Glen Dining, who entered the bat with 2nd, 2nd and 3rd base, hit Won-Jun Kim’s 82.8mph (133.3km) change-up on the 3rd pitch and hit a come-from-behind three-run home run.

In defense at the end of the 7th inning, Kang Baek-ho, who hit a double, did not miss stepping off the base while celebrating toward the dugout, and tagged and caught the out. Thanks to Glendining’s performance, Australia won 8-7, and Korea failed to advance to the quarterfinal tournament.

Glendining finished the tournament with a batting average of 30% (6 hits in 20 at-bats), 2 home runs, 6 RBIs, and an OPS of .991 in 5 WBC games.

Reporter Robert Murray of Fanside, an American media outlet, said, “Baltimore has recruited Glen Dining. He is going to go to Triple A and play the season,” he said, revealing that Glen Dining will be promoted to Triple A. This is the first time Glen Dining has moved up to Triple-A.
