Jeju United (Jeju) strengthened the crackdown on the back door by recruiting goalkeeper Shin Tae-yong-ho and goalkeeper Kim Hyung-geun (28). The contract period is for a total of two years until 2024.
The Jeju club recently announced the signing of Kim Hyung-geun. A graduate of Yeungnam University, coach Shin Tae-yong’s alma mater, Kim Hyung-geun was a promising goalkeeper who was selected for the Korean U-22 national team led by Shin in 2015. 토토사이트
On October 12 of the same year, he distinguished himself by starting in a warm-up match against Australia (2-1 win). Although he was excluded from the final list for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, he competed in good faith with Jeju’s No. 1 goalkeeper Kim Dong-jun and was recognized for his potential.
Kim Hyung-geun joined Busan I-Park in 2016 and made his professional debut. He subsequently appeared in a total of 47 games in four seasons through 2019. Kim Hyung-geun moved to Seoul E-Land ahead of the 2020 season. He played a total of 25 games so far last season. He didn’t play in many matches during his professional career, but when the opportunity came he showed his full potential.
Kim Hyung-geun, who is 188cm tall and 78kg tall and has excellent build-up ability, is expected to make Jeju’s goal thicker with Kim Dong-jun, whom he met again as a good competitor.
Kim Hyung-geun said, “Jeju has a good goalkeeper named Kim Dong-jun. Participating is important, but it is important to instill healthy tension for the team’s development. I have high expectations as it is my first experience in the first division.”
