Choi started the 12th game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against KIA at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on Sunday and pitched five innings of four-hit ball, striking out one and walking none.
Choi Won-jun returned to the starting rotation after a stint in the bullpen. Against a KIA lineup that had won nine straight games, he pitched a four-hit shutout through five innings. After back-to-back triple plays in the first and second innings, he overcame runners on first and first in the third, second and first in the fourth, and second and second in the fifth.
