‘From last to second’, KT’s magic ‘shakes up the game’
Baseball’s KT is making the race for the top spot interesting with an upset, jumping from last place to second.
The battle for fifth place between Doosan, KIA, and Lotte is also set to become more intense.
Reporter Lee Moo-hyung reports.

After falling to the bottom of the standings in early June, KT has created a magical turnaround in the second half of the season.
In its last 10 three-game series, KT has gone 24-5, with not a single deficit.
Their winning percentage during this stretch is a staggering 0.828.
What was once 14 fewer wins than losses is now 12 more, and the team has gone from last place to sole possession of second place.
The key to their magical turnaround is their starting pitching, which is among the best in the league.
Ko Young-pyo, the No. 1 overall qualifying starter, and Benjamin, a foreign pitcher who was the MVP candidate in July.
Cuevas, who rejoined the team that won the Korean Series two years ago, is 7-0 and is playing the role of a win fairy.
The five starters, from the top to the bottom of the order, have a team ERA in the low 2s, the only clubs in the second half to do so.
[Ko Young-pyo/KT: “The starters are giving us a lot of innings, so we don’t feel like we’re going to lose, and we’re all enjoying baseball in the dugout right now…”]
The “five-way battle” between Doosan, KIA, and Lotte is also interesting.
For No. 7 Lotte, this week is the biggest test of fall baseball.
Their midweek three-game series opponent is none other than first-place LG.
At the end of the week, they’ll have to face the inevitable against the red-hot KT.
KIA, which also has a three-game midweek series against KT, will be ready to go all out, while Doosan will look to escape the slump against last-place Kiwoom.토토사이트
