‘$350 Million’ LIV Golf to Open in Mexico in February

The 2023 season of the LIV Golf Series, sponsored by Saudi Arabian capital, will enter its long run at the end of February.

According to the 2023 season schedule announced by the LIV Golf Series on the 25th (Korean time), this year’s opening game will be held in Playa del Carmen, Mexico for three days from February 24th. This year’s competition will be held in a total of 14 events. This is an increase of six more than the eight competitions last year, which was the first year of its launch.

For external expansion, the host countries are Mexico, the United States, Australia, Singapore, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia. The LIV series, launched last year, was held on an astronomical scale, with a total prize money of 20 million dollars (approximately 24.8 billion won) for individual competitions and 5 million dollars for group competitions. 헤라카지노

Unable to resist the lure of money, a number of PGA Tour top players, including Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, and Bryson DeChambeau (above USA), moved on to the LIV Golf Series. The PGA Tour banned players from the PGA Tour who transferred to the LIV series.

This year, as in last year, the LIV series tournaments will not be held during the existing four major tournaments, the Masters, PGA Championship, US Open, and British Open. The World Ranking Committee does not assign points to the LIV series. Therefore, in order for them to raise the world rankings, they must perform in other tours such as the DP World Tour and the Asian Tour.
